They also have a restaurant on premise which is pretty damn good and a bar with an attentive staff. May I recommend the Orinoco Mojitos?
From the Standard, our Miami party crew rolled over to the Standard's sister property - The Raleigh. Usually, Dana is behind the bar making fantastic cocktails replete with fresh fruit purees. Unfortunately, Dana's less enthusiastic colleague had the shift. Needless to say, we stayed for only one round.
We then walked a few doors down to the eponymous Delano which, despite the rain, had a much better scene...yet still a lackluster bar attendant. We still managed to have a fantastic time though.

Last stop for the evening was Casa Tua. A quaint on the outside/crazy on the inside members only club that will set you back 50 large per year...mojitos extra. Luckily we had a couple of members with us. However, by this point my photographic skills had become less than acute.
After I awoke, many hours later to yet more rain, I found myself on Jason-time. That lovely and rare frame of time where I can do what I want on my own schedule. Instead of the fast track to Tampa via the West Coast (of FL) I proceeded to meander up the East Coast making stops in Bal Harbour, Boca, etc. Sure it took longer but where did I have to be?
All in all a productive business trip and another good personal excursion but, Miami, you better have some great weather next time. See you soon.

That is a killer pool! Too bad no time to see girls on South Beach...though it doesn't look like it was all work and no play.
I agree with Tiff... too bad that the weather prevented the beach scouting - next time...
As for the bar scene - Definitely sounds hoppin. The pictures look good. Next, I assume we'll see drink menus posted!
Good times!
